Boxingforecast Review
BoxingForecast is a boxing bet advice website, and is something which is very rare and unique, in fact id never seen a boxing tipster until now and it is exactly what we at BSU are trying to find for review. Sporting tipsters in niche markets.
It is ran by Evan Young who has been following boxing since he was twelve and has even been a boxing trainer and manager so he knows his stuff. You can read more about Evan in detail at http://www.boxingforecast.com/index.cfm?event=AboutUs .
Evan specialises on picking out underdogs in the fight that are priced better than the chance of them winning in Evans opinion, and quite often they go on to win the fight. He also gives KO bets and proposition bets etc as well. More details are available on the types of bet on the website.
The website is very professional looking and easy to navigate and so are the results. All past results are viewable on the website going back to 2006 as well every single forecast in great detail, which is a sure sign that results are not faked because no scammer goes to the trouble in writing large and in depth analysis’s going back 3 years, it just would not be feasible, so the results are quite transparent in our opinion. There is also a FREE 30 day trial available as well so you can try it without paying a penny! This is also a good sign of a reliable tipster.
Regarding stakes, they take the very sensible approach of varying the stake depending on how strong Evan rates the bet. E.g. if a bet was rated 5, the max you would bet if you were an average better is 5% of your betting bank. If it was rated 1, you would bet 1%, and so on. The max you will ever risk is 5%. More cautious punters may use half the amount and aggressive punters may use twice the amount.
This approach seems to work very well and has turned a hypothetical $10,000 in to well over $300.000 in only 3 years, which absolutely crushes profits on any type of savings plan or account you will get at a bank and there has never really been any point in which your betting bank has been at risk because of the low % stakes.
Members are sent an email informing them of any picks available, they can then log on to the website and view the pick and the in depth forecast available. Members also get access to the insiders list which enables you to communicate your thoughts and opinions to all the other members of boxingforecast.com as well as Evan himself. This is yet more evidence of a transparent service and a great idea.
You can read a wealth of info about www.boxingforecast.com on their website, above is just a brief summary of their services.
They have very kindly agreed to let us trial them for 90 days and given the transparency of their site this is probably more than enough and we may even come to a conclusion before then.
Evan updates his results very quickly unlike a lot of sites so in this case there is no point in us re writing them on our site, instead what we will do is monitor the results just to make sure they are correct and accurate, which I am sure they will be. If not we will state. We will also post a summary every month below on the gross profit/loss, starting with a £1000 bank in May.
Results from the site can be found at http://www.boxingforecast.com/DisplayPages/OtherPages/TrackRecord.cfm and all past and present forecasts as well as post fight info can be found at http://www.boxingforecast.com/index.cfm?event=past-boxing-picks .
Please keep an eye on this review of Boxingforecast.com; we for one are very much looking forward to seeing how it goes!
UPDATE
A few people have asked Evan what bookies he uses and which are best.
Evan has now provided a link to a PDF of various sportsbooks and also included his own rating of how good they are for boxing lines. This is yet more proof of how helpfull Evan is, he really to seems to care about members.
THE PDF IS HERE
It is also worth finding out which will count a draw as a loss and which will return your stake in the event of a draw. UPDATE

I have used a £5000 bank for the starting bank but if you change that figure (highlighted in yellow) the profits will also change accordingly.
Well we have been monitoring Boxing Forecast for a full 3 months and during this time we have been very impressed, not just with the bets but with the honesty and efficiency of the service also.
Evan certainly knows his stuff when it comes to boxing and over the long term this service looks like it will be a very good earner.
The only problem with the service is that it is a victim of its own success. Because Evan is good at what he does his bets tend to affect the odds lines.
E.g Evan will send a bet out along with the odds at the time of the bet being sent and then his members will go and place their bets. The more people bet the lower the odds get. A few hours later the odds may have dropped. On one occasion the underdog actually became the same price as the favourite 5 hours later (obviously this is rare but it has happened).
This is not always a problem, e.g in title fights and well advertised fights the odds will likely not change at all, but in less popular fights the odds can change rather quickly and if you leave it to long it may not be worth betting.
Evan is aware of this and is doing everything he can to help people avoid it. He often sends out emails telling people about the possible bets he is thinking of sending and he also tries to give a good indication of when the bet will be sent so you can be prepared to get on the bet a.s.a.p.
He has even made a huge list off bookies in a PDF file HERE with ratings on how good each sports book is for Boxing so members can shop around for better odds. There is also a chart on the website showing the lowest odds to take before the bet loses its value.
As long as you can get on the bets shortly after they are sent then the odds problem won’t be that big of a deal, but if you are someone that won’t be able to bet until a few hours later then your profits will likely be less than those shown on quite a few of the picks.
This is not Evans fault, it happens to all good services that operate in niche markets and the fact he can affect the odds line shows he is good at what he does. It is just a unfortunate bi product of his success.
All in all we would happily recommend this service if you are looking for long term profits and if you are a boxing fan as well then this service will make watching the fights even more enjoyable.
However if you are the type of person that finds it hard to check emails, e.g. you work long hours and it's hard to get to a PC to get your bets on sharpish then the service probably isn't for you as we feel speed is of the essence because of the odds movements.
