Football Betting Data
FOOTBALL BETTING DATA is a service that gives a very wide range of football bets which are all based on statistics. They are the only service we have ever come across to give out such a wide selection of bets, many of which you would never think of but which are widely available in many bookies.
The bets are sent by email well in advance of the bet, usualy the day before and you can also log in and view them on the site which is handy.
The emails are very long and explain in detail why they have
given the bet out, what the stats are that the bet is based on etc.
The author puts a lot of effort in to
the bets which is a good sign.
Below is an example of a recent bet. You can view all bets on the
website which can be found HERE
Portsmouth
v Manchester City
Sat 14th Feb, 3pm
Portsmouth
play Man City on Saturday afternoon. If you take a look
at the 'Head-2-Head' info on our website, you'll get an at-a-glance
guide to the top match-ups, in all the 'stats bets' categories.

The
stats highlight 'Over
2.5 Goals' as the best option in the
'Over / Under' market...
66%
of Portsmouth's home games have seen 3 or more goals scored,
and 63% of Man City's
away games have also gone 'Over 2.5.'
Portsmouth's
home games are averaging a total of 3.1
goals per game
- and so are Man City's away games.
Both teams' recent results support these figures...
·
4
of Portsmouth's last 5 games at Fratton Park have paid out
a winner on 'Over 2.5 Goals' bets
- 3 of Man
City's last 5 away games have produced 'Over 2.5
Goals' winners
When
these teams met at the City of Manchester Stadium earlier this
season it was a 'high goals' affair - with Man City winning 6-0.
Flicking
through the history books, 7 of the 11 Premier League
games between Portsmouth and Man City have gone 'Over 2.5 Goals'
over the years. But bear in mind we're going back as far as 2003
there!
If
you're having a bet on any market in this game, you'll find the
best odds here:
http://odds.sportsxtra.co.uk/football/england/premier-league/
A word of warning though...
Since
Tony Adams was sacked on Monday, Portsmouth are without a
manager. That makes Portsmouth a bit of an 'unknown quantity' at
the moment, so from a betting point of view, we'd recommend keeping
stakes to a minimum.
For our
'FBD bet' this weekend, we're instead looking to the
Tuesday night game at Old Trafford...
And
seeing as today is Friday the 13th, it seems a good time to
look at Manchester Utd's incredible run of 13 Premier League 'Clean
Sheets.'
Manchester Utd - 13 'Clean Sheets' and counting...
Man Utd
have motored to the top of the Premier League with a run of
13 games without conceding a goal. During that run of 'Clean
Sheets,' they've won 11 games 'To Nil' and drawn 0-0 twice.
'Total football'...
Check out these other standouts stats from Man Utd's 13-game run:
·
11 games where Man
Utd have won at least 3 corners more than
their opponent
· 10 out of 13 games 'Under 2.5 Goals'
·
9 of last 13 games
'Under 35.5 Booking Points' or 'Under 3.5
Cards'
·
8 of last 13 games
won by a 1-0 'Correct Score' - a bet that
pays out at around 6/1
I'll
email you on Tuesday with a closer look at those betting
options for this game - once the bookies have their full range of
markets up.
However, there does look to be one good bet on offer already...
Manchester
Utd v Fulham
Tue 17th Feb, 8pm
Goals
With
Man Utd not conceding a goal in their last 13 games, it's been
up to them to do all the goal-scoring. 10 of those 13 games have
paid out on 'Under 2.5
Goals.' And as the Head-2-Head data on our
website shows, that trend is supported by both team's figures for
the season overall...
- Man Utd - 63.6% of home games 'Under 2.5 Goals'
- Fulham - 83.3% of away games 'Under 2.5 Goals'
|
KEY
DATA: |
9
of Fulham's last 10 away games have paid out on 'Under 2.5 Goals'
bets. That includes 5 games with no goals at all, and 3 games with
just the one goal scored.
This early price looks good value...
If you
combine the 'Under 2.5
Goals' records of 'Man Utd at home'
and 'Fulham away' this season, you get a strike rate of around 73%.
Represented as odds, a 73% 'chance' is a 4/11-shot (1.36).
And
with that in mind, the 9/10
(1.90) on offer right now in
Bet365's 'Goal Line'
market looks good value...

Bet
Now! http://odds.sportsxtra.co.uk/football/england/premier-league/ |
As you can see a lot of effort indeed goes in to the tips!
So far profits from the main bets although high in detail have not produced much profit because they have all been odds on, but there have been a few other advised bets given out that have been quite decent. Below is an example of an advised but not main bet.
Correct Scores
Taking
into account all the above data - both team's low Goals
stats and Man Utd's 'Clean Sheet' and 'Win To Nil' records - a
couple of 'Correct Score' bets could appeal at around 6/1...
All 4
of Man Utd's away wins this season have been by a 1-0 or 2-0
'Correct Score.'
And 6
out of 10 Man Utd away wins last season were won wither 1-0
or 2-0.
Bolton
have been beaten 1-0 or 2-0 in 4 of the 5 home games that
they've lost so far.
Ladbrokes
are offering the best prices on these 'Correct Scores' -
1-0 Man Utd
and 2-0 Man Utd
are both available at 6/1
(7.00).
The bet obliged and if you had bet on both the advised you would be 5 points up.
The results on their site for the bets they give out are correct but they are a little hard to view properly unless you have a bit of time to write them down and record profits because they are basically just the emails they sent out.
Because of this I have put together a spreadsheet of all their main bets since January. As well as these bets they also often advise other bets which may be worth following but for the sake of this spreadsheet I shall be using the main bets they advise. You can view ALL of the bets on their website HERE

They also have some very useful info and tools on their site as well which are....

Below is a screen shot of one of their Individual Team Pages, just to show the amount of info that is on offer.

The price of the service is dirt cheap, one of the cheapest footy services around at only £9 per month currently, with 2 months were you don't pay anything. OR you can pay £49 for the entire season.
I think the service will continue to be profitable though the profits from their main bets are unlikely to be huge on a monthly basis, long term though I can see Football Betting Data doing well and it is surely worth the very small membership fee just for the Individual team pages and head to head function which give you some very useful stats to choose your own bets.
Also remember you can CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE SPREADSHEET OF
RESULTS FOR THE FBD MAIN BETS that I have created to make them easier to
follow and will update weekly.

UPDATE
Well the review of FBD is now over, and unfortunately it has been a bit of a disappointment. After 5 months the main bets have failed to make any profit. The bets themselves have been very unique, stat based and enjoyable to read, but all that means very little if you cannot make a profit from them, and to follow a service and come out with a loss (only a very small one) after 5 months is a bit pointless.
However I am not going to put them in the Unrecommended section, as despite not being able to profit from their tips, they do still offer a fantastic stat service, so if you think you are the type of person who could use their stats to come up with your own bets they may still be for you.
Having said that though, many of the stats can be gotten free from various other websites, BUT some of them are pretty hard to find, it depends what stats you want.
Based on that, they will go in the neutral section, which is a shame as they did look very promising but unforunately when you actualy view their results on a spreadsheet it paints a very different picture to the one you get by viewing their results on the site as you can't tell from the site what profit or loss has been made.
