False Favourites

False favourites is an in depth guide to laying written by Jonathan Burgess, and includes a wealth of info and stats as well as details on how to use the info to pick out value lays on low priced favourites.

The first thing you will notice is that Jonathan advertises the fact he is an accredited Betfair trainer. Now at this point I must point out that this does NOT mean he works for Betfair, nor does it imply that he has any knowledge about horse racing, (although he clearly does!) all it means is that he completed a training seminar devised to teach individuals how to explain and demonstrate the use of the Betfair website to others.

I mention this because some less honest people may do so just to use it to trick people in to buying useless information. However Jonathan does not do this and he has done much more than just attend a seminar.

As well as being an accredited betfair trainer, Jonathan also has written and still writes articles for the Betfair Education site which can be found Here, and has advised Betfair customers at training events.

He was also involved in getting the people at Racing Post to add many elements to their new site which they had not bothered to add from the old site, which were vital to the FF system as well as many others. He has also written a guide to the new RP site, which is fully endorsed by the Racing Post.

All these things prove that you are buying from a man who knows what he is talking about and what you will get will not be a load of old tosh like many other systems and guides.

The guide will teach you how to use various well researched statistics and info, which have all been written down in the book, to spot the horses that don’t really stand as much of a chance of winning as the odds indicate, but the regular punters seem to think they do because they don’t have the info written in this guide, and as a result they are favourites and will likely have short odds.

The book starts by teaching you how to use Betfair, which is where Jonathans qualification comes in, but I suspect most people looking at purchasing a laying system will already know how to use Betfair so you will probably skip that section.

The first main section after you have gotten through all the basic explanations of betting etc explains all the stats and info that you need to know about laying in National hunt (jump) races, and then explains the selection method to you followed by a number of examples and screenshots to help you get the idea of how to use the info and knowledge you have just learnt to lay false favourites.

The second part does the same as above but the stats and info used is for the Flat races, so basically you can use the laying methods detailed in the book all year round whether it be Flat season or Jump season.

There is a lot of information to take in and for most people it will be a bit daunting at first so you may have to read it again. You certainly get a lot for what you pay for and more!

The selection process can also be a bit daunting at first, but like with anything the more you do it the easier you will find it. Systems that take minutes to do generally are worthless and end up losing you money, False favourites is not a quick system, but what you put in is what you will get out of it.

Profit wise, the selection method won’t make you rich overnight as Jonathan openly admits and you are looking at making around 10-15 points a month profit, not a massive amount but as far as laying systems go very decent.

10-15 points at £10 stakes is a bit of extra pocket money but as your bank grows and you can afford to bet say £50 stakes that’s £ 500 -£750 a month, not to be sniffed at and would easily pay most people’s rent so you can’t complain for an outlay of about £28 for life and 30-60 minutes work every night! Also the book is a clickbank produck so you get a 60 day refund for peace of mind.

You will also get some nice bonus articles when you purchase such as “Drifting favourites” and “How to avoid the 10 deadly mistakes 95% of all punters make” which are a good read themselves and the latter will help put you in the mindset to be in control and not fall for the things that make most punters mug punters.

AND should you have any more questions or there is something you don't understand there is an extensive FAQ section, as well as excellent customer service if you still need it.

NOTE: There has been an update of this system recently, the guide and laying methods are basically the same but it now includes very detailed guide to the new Racing Post website.
The guide is 35 pages long and is extremely useful for all those people that have found it a bit confusing to use since its update.

The book itself is also now a little better layed out and the examples have been updated with recent ones using recent Racing Post screenshots. Many system writers don't bother to update systems when things in the industry change, the fact that Jonathan has shows that he really is dedicated and cares about his customers which is a very very rare thing in this day of "here today gone tomorrow" system writers.
